Group Operational Manager – Healthcare
Location: Pretoria, Gauteng.
Position Overview:
A private healthcare institution in Pretoria is seeking to appoint a Group Operational Manager.
The Group Operational Manager is accountable for the leadership of the business unit and site Exco to ensure the sustainable performance of the site, alignment to the institution’s values and fostering a culture of inclusivity and empowerment.
The incumbent is further responsible for developing and implementing the institution’s strategy in line with the strategic themes.
The Group Operational Manager will also be responsible for scanning and interpreting macro and micro-environments to implement and drive strategies that will capitalize on opportunities and mitigate potential risks to the business. The incumbent will be responsible for building and enhancing the relationships with existing medical doctors and liaising with a complex network of stakeholders to ensure business growth and business unit sustainability.
The selected candidate will be responsible for the overall general non-clinical management of the institution. This includes the co-ordination of all functions and activities related to the provision, promotion, and assurance of quality care, through the leadership of a multidisciplinary team in consultation with all relevant stakeholders.
The Group Operational Manager will be responsible for coordinating improved quality exco management by ensuring compliance to professional and ethical practice. In accordance, the incumbent will be accountable for coordinating capacity building, mentoring, and training, financial and facility management including cost effective quality services.

Key Requirements to be liable for consideration:
- A BCom Accounting degree is essential, Hons in Accounting will be an added advantage.
- A relevant Business Management qualification preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years’ Financial and Operational experience at a Senior Management level in a Private Hospital Environment required.
- Solid Financial knowledge and Operations experience, essential.
- Advanced level of computer proficiency is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to build Senior Strategic Partnerships.
- Ability to present business proposals to senior executives and stakeholders.
- Excellent knowledge of the Private Healthcare Industry.
- Proficient understanding of legislative and business climate pertaining to Private Healthcare.
