Company Overview Our client is an economics advisory firm that specializes in Transfer Pricing. They seek to help their clients to operate even more successfully within the African continent.  Purpose This position is for an Assistant Manager in International Tax - Transfer Pricing.  The role is that of an assistant manager who is expected to support management with transfer pricing projects from start to finish.  The person will work in a project team and report to either the Senior Manager or Partner directly depending on the nature of the assignment. Responsibilities
  • Have an understanding of the OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines and OECD Guidelines on Profit Attribution.
  • Understand the OECD Model Tax Convention and Commentary
  • Demonstrate a keen interest in transfer pricing concepts
  • Develop and deliver quality transfer pricing and economic ideas with timely and responsive services/ work products.
  • Ideally, able to demonstrate other taxes impacting transfer pricing and other services and how these interrelate
  • Be capable in undertaking a functional and financial analysis
  • Be competent in undertaking economic analysis
  • Be able to prepare documentation, assist in compiling defence documentation and have experience in interacting with the Revenue Service in Transfer Pricing audits
  • Have a strong understanding of the Transfer Pricing methods for all transactions and a good awareness of Transfer Pricing approaches to intangible assets
  • Be able to assist in compiling quality, practical solutions and assist with Transfer Pricing planning services
  • Have experience in managing assignments and having worked in a team environment
  • Participate in and contribute to attaining team goals
Qualifications and Experience: Qualified CA(SA); BCom or Admitted Attorney, LLB (Postgraduate study in Tax is preferable) Essential Skills and Experience:
  • A minimum of 3 years tax consulting experience (Transfer Pricing will be an advantage)
  • Exposure to tax issues required with consulting experience
  • Strong project management skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid business acumen to understanding project profitability and experience in same
  • Thrive in a high performance, professional service environment
