Unit Manager – Private Healthcare
Location: Pretoria, Gauteng.
A private hospital group has a new opportunity available for an experienced and Registered Nurse to take on the role of Unit Manager.
The Unit Manager (UM) will be responsible for coordinating improved quality nursing care by ensuring compliance to professional and ethical practice aligned with the company strategy in the private healthcare environment.
In accordance, the incumbent will be accountable for coordinating capacity building, mentoring and training, financial and stock management including cost effective quality patient care.
Key Requirements to be liable for consideration:
- A completed Nursing Qualification, Diploma in General Nursing/ B Cur Degree or an equivalent NQF 7 qualification, essential.
- A post basic qualification in the area of specialty (Theatre Technique and Management Administration), together with contemporary skills and knowledge of that specialty.
- Current registration with South African Nursing Council as Registered Nurse (RN).
- Post basic qualification in Management/Nursing Administration.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Clinical Leadership and Management in the Private Healthcare Environment
- A minimum of 3 years’ managerial experience in a Private Theatre Complex.
- Previous Unit Manager experience in the private healthcare sector, is essential.
- Extensive knowledge of Modern Nursing Care Principles and Practices in the highly specialised field.
- Knowledge of Labour legislation; Financial management and Computer proficiency.
