Manager – Governance and Corporate Secretariat (CGISA)
Location: Pretoria, Gauteng / Hybrid
There is an exciting new opportunity available for a Manager – Governance and Corporate Secretariat at a highly reputable professional services institution.
Position Overview:
The purpose of the Manager – Governance and Corporate Secretariat is to provide the SM: GVCS the management and administrative support enabling effective functioning of the governance committees and their subcommittees in line with the Public Audit Act (PAA) and corporate governance principles (e.g. King IV requirements).
The Manager – Governance and Corporate Secretariat plays an advisory function with regards to the management and administrative support of governance structures via the SM: GVCS, to the organisation (including governance structures and mechanisms) on governance processes as well as compliance with regulatory requirements.
Experience, Qualifications and Knowledge Required:
- A completed Bachelor’s Degree in Law/Corporate Law or related Corporate Governance qualification.
- One must have either written and passed the Governance Board Exam or completed the Charted Institute of Governance of Southern Africa qualification before Board examination.
- A minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in a Governance and Secretariat Environment or Company Secretariat Coordinator/Committee Officer or Governance Professional at Manager Level.
